Rambling Press Conference By Trump: Doubts Kamala Harris’s Capability

Former President Donald Trump uttered for an hour in a rambling press conference on Thursday, driving dozens of incorrect and absurd claims to wrest the limelight away from Vice President Kamala Harris’ streaming 2024 presidential crusade.

Addressing journalists at his ritzy Florida mansion, Mar-a-Lago, the GOP presidential candidate pressed his movement was the one drawing enormous, excited crowds on the drive trail — even though Harris’ protests enticed tens of thousands — and asserted that the vice president wasn’t “clever enough” to take inquiries from the media.

“She’s not intelligent sufficiently to do a news meeting,” Trump said.

Trump also declared he was ready to do three discussions with Harris. Both movements had decided to the Sept. 10 discussion when President Joe Biden was even the hypothetical nominee, but Trump withdrew when Harris returned Biden. Harris’s movement hasn’t said whether it’s decided on all three dates.

Trump Stated

Harris, meanwhile, hasn’t accomplished a sit-down with journalists since Biden escaped the race and supported her for the nomination. But she’s marginally enhanced Biden’s role in the polls, and Democrats, appear gushed to have a contender except the president.

“The honeymoon course is gonna stop,” Trump spoke of Harris’ place in the race. “She’s got a short period, the pattern is coming up. Everything she’s handled has bent badly.”

It was the foremost time Trump took inquiries from journalists since Harris reported Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running partner on Tuesday. Trump named both Harris and Walz too dangerous to operate in the country.

“She chose an extreme left man,” Trump spoke. “He’s obtained things done that he’s … he has functions that are simply not, it’s not even feasible to accept that they live. He’s reaching for items that nobody’s ever even heard of, plump into the transgender globe, heavy into lots of additional worlds including to do with security. He doesn’t like to have boundaries. He doesn’t desire to have borders. He doesn’t like to have any record of security for our country.”

Trump said he wouldn’t alter anything regarding his campaign or raids now that he’s racing against Harris. “I haven’t recalibrated the plan at all. It’s the same procedures — open barriers and crime. I consider she’s more harmful than Biden,” he said.

During his press meeting, which ran only short of 90 minutes, Trump resembled the group size at the White House on Jan. 6, 2021. 

“Nobody’s spoken to groups greater than me,” he declared.

Trump again falsely asserted that “nobody died” during the invasion of the Capitol by hundreds of his followers seeking to capsize the 2020 election he had failed. At least seven individuals died in the riot, containing numerous Trump supporters.

Questioned why Harris was accomplishing well in the polls, Trump declared it is because “she’s a female” who symbolizes “certain groups of people.” He expected her help would drop after “people discover out around her.”

Trump also grumbled about having to meet Harris in the 2024 race rather than Biden, who declined last month after his unsatisfactory debate commission against the ex-president. Harris, Trump baselessly alleged, “was performing with the individuals that desired him out.”

“You could do something that would increase. Indeed,” Trump declared. “And those things are rather open and benevolent.”

He counted: “But you have to have a vote.”

Harris’ campaign reacted to Trump’s press meeting with sarcasm, naming it “very fine” and “very average.”

“He hasn’t campaigned currently around the week. He isn’t proceeding to a single swing shape this week. But he convinced is mad Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are bringing big groups across the battlegrounds.”
